Dukes Retreat is a premier Resort located at Khandala with 5-star facilities and a breathtaking view that is best in Khandala and Lonavala. Dukes Retreat is located on a hill along a 500 ft cliff that overlooks the entire Khandala Ghat.

Invitingly situated amidst the greenery, slopes and hills of Khandala, is "Dukes Nose", a majestic cliff on the Sahyadri range of mountains. Located at a 1 ½ hours drive by car, or 2 ½ hours journey by train from Mumbai and 45 minutes drive from Pune, this exotic rich green ambience is a feast for the eyes.

Its naming however goes back to the British Regime, When Khandala was a heaven for the British Governors, Who wanted to spend their holidays amidst serenity. But the name "Dukes Nose" originated after the "Dukes of Wellington" who came to spend his holidays in Khandala. Even today people who come to Khandala, because of a striking similarity between the cliff and his long nose feel the Duke's presence. When observed meticulously with a wink-eye look the cliff appears as if the Duke is sleeping back and taking a nap. The Local natives because of its resemblance to the hood of cobra, loving call the cliff "Nagfani"

The Dukes Retreat situated at 1850 ft above sea level, spread across 11 acres opened in 1991. The property is blessed with the beauty of nature.
